Kim Jong Il Dead

Rare Sunday posting here...but this is just too big to wait until tomorrow morning...and stories are starting to hit the wire like wildfire..

North Korean wacko leader Kim Jong Il is dead at 70!! Wow, what are the chances that Bin Laden, Khadafy and Jong Il would all take the dirt nap in the same year...in retrospect, 2011 didn't turn out that bad. Now if his bastard son remembers to keep his cool and not do anything stupid on the Korean Penninsula we will all be good.

Details are, not surprisingly, vague as to the cause of his death but its been reported that the "dear leader" has been in failing health for several years now. From one Wall Street report the following was printed:

"Mr. Kim died from fatigue during a train ride on Saturday, a weeping television announcer said."

Holy crap! What the hell are they using for trains over there?!?!

Pictures of Kim had been scare the past few years and some officially released pictures from North Korea are even believed to be faked. However I was able to obtain what is currently believed to be the last known picture of Kim before his death..

Kim Jong Il Death

North Korea has announced that the country’s supreme leader Kim Jong Il has died.

Kim was 69 years old and had ruled North Korea for 17 years. He came to power in 1994 on the death of his father Kim Il Sung, who had ruled the country since its founding in 1948. The report of the younger Kim’s death came via a noontime report on state television in North Korea.

The North Korea TV announcer said that Kim died “of fatigue during a train ride on Saturday”, which sounds like one of the ways the deaths of dictators in extremely repressive regimes are often described. That’s not meant to be cheeky. But that sounds like one of the semi-preposterous causes of death that are often given when the nature of the regime doesn’t allow for any actual discussion of the leader’s health.

I’m not sure you can die from ‘fatigue’. You can die while you’re suffering from fatigue. But I’m not sure you can die from fatigue.
